"THE MOST EXCITING ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE EVENT OF ALL TIME." This is an original movie poster from the 1976 remake of the classic film, "KING KONG". This poster is called a "Half Subway". Note that around this time, studios were creating "subway posters" for many releases, which were 45" x 60" horizontally-shaped posters that were glued up on walls all over New York City (hence the name "subway poster"). They also made these smaller "subway" posters which measure approximately half the size of a regular "subway" poster (usually around 29" x 45"), and look like a one-sheet, only bigger. They also have information about one or more specific New York theaters then-currently showing that movie. This particular poster is in near mint condition. Has a couple baby tears at the bottom that have been repaired on the reverse side with paper tape. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.
